How to Apply for IBPS Clerk 2017

  • You can fill the online application from 12th Sept 2017 to 3rd Oct 2017

1. IBPS Clerk Work Profile – Duties

A clerk is also known as ‘Single Window Operator’. A clerk performs daily office and accounts related tasks in a bank. Read all the duties listed below to get an idea about the job profile of a bank clerk.
Handling deposits and cash withdrawals
Taking charge of the receipt of cheques, drafts, dividend warrants and pay orders
Ensuring payment clearances
Maintaining a daily record of balance
Maintaining ledger, balance tally, data entry, ESI stamps
Typing necessary information about bank
Issuing cheque books
Marketing of financial products of the Bank such as loans, mutual funds, deposits, schemes, etc.
2. IBPS Clerk Work Profile – Salary & Allowances


A bank clerk receives a dignified salary along with other allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA) etc. You will get multiple chances to be promoted to higher levels depending on your performance. Basic Pay – Rs. 11, 765 – 31, 540/- 

After serving for 1 year you will be subjected to an increment of Rs. 400/- to Rs. 500.
Dearness Allowances are released by the banks on quarterly term based on Consumer Price Index.
House Rent Allowance will be allotted to you according to the place of posting, ranging from Rs. 1176.5/- to Rs. 1058.85/-.
An IBPS Clerk also gets transport allowance which is approximately Rs. 425/-.
